MailStore Server appears to users as a main archive that it assembles from any number of individual archive stores.
This concept makes flexible storage management possible and also guarantees scalability to any volume of data and number of users.
This allows for installations in day-to-day business that support more than a thousand archived mailboxes and the users who access them. Standard archive stores are created in the file system and do not require any further configuration. However, businesses may also use Microsoft SQL Server or PostgreSQL for data storage.
